These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of services provided by AKSI LIT LTD and form a legally binding agreement between you and our company.

2. Services Covered

These Terms apply to all services provided by AKSI LIT LTD, including but not limited to:

  • Boiler Services: Installation, repair, maintenance, and servicing of gas, oil, and electric boilers
  • Air Conditioning: Installation, repair, and maintenance of split systems, multi-split systems, ducted systems, and VRF systems
  • Underfloor Heating: Installation and maintenance of electric and water-based underfloor heating systems
  • Solar Panel Installation: Design, installation, and maintenance of photovoltaic systems and battery storage solutions
  • Emergency Services: 24/7 emergency repair services for heating and cooling systems
  • Maintenance Contracts: Annual service plans and preventive maintenance programs

3. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging our services, requesting a quote, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.

4. Service Agreement and Quotations

4.1 Quotations
  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified
  • Quotations are based on information provided by the customer and site conditions at the time of survey
  • Prices may be subject to change if additional work is required due to unforeseen circumstances
4.2 Contract Formation
  • A contract is formed when you accept our written quotation and pay any required deposit
  • All work will be carried out in accordance with current British Standards and Building Regulations
  • Any variations to the agreed work must be confirmed in writing

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Payment Schedule
  • A deposit may be required before commencement of work (typically 25-50% of total cost)
  • Progress payments may be required for larger installations
  • Final payment is due upon completion of work and customer satisfaction
  • Emergency call-out fees are payable immediately upon completion of diagnostic work
5.2 Payment Methods
  • We accept cash, bank transfer, cheque, and major credit/debit cards
  • Payment terms are typically 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed
  • Late payment charges of 8% above Bank of England base rate may apply to overdue accounts

6. Warranties and Guarantees

6.1 Workmanship Warranty
  • We provide a 12-month warranty on all installation and repair work
  • Warranty covers defects in workmanship but excludes normal wear and tear
  • Warranty is void if work is modified by third parties or if equipment is misused
6.2 Equipment Warranties
  • Manufacturer warranties apply to all equipment and components supplied
  • Solar panel systems: 25-year performance warranty, 10-year product warranty
  • Boilers: Manufacturer warranty (typically 5-10 years depending on model)
  • Air conditioning systems: Manufacturer warranty (typically 5-7 years)
6.3 Insurance-Backed Guarantees
  • Insurance-backed guarantees available for installations over £500
  • Covers workmanship for up to 6 years in the event of company insolvency
  • Certificate provided upon completion of qualifying work

7. Health and Safety

7.1 Our Responsibilities
  • All engineers are Gas Safe registered and hold relevant certifications
  • We carry comprehensive public liability insurance (minimum £2 million)
  • All work complies with current health and safety regulations
  • Risk assessments are conducted before commencing work
7.2 Customer Responsibilities
  • Provide safe access to work areas
  • Inform us of any known hazards (asbestos, structural issues, etc.)
  • Ensure pets are secured during work
  • Provide adequate lighting and power supply for work areas

8. Cancellation and Refunds

8.1 Consumer Rights
  • Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of contract formation
  • Cancellation rights may be waived if you request work to begin immediately
  • Emergency repairs are exempt from cancellation rights
8.2 Cancellation by Customer
  • 24 hours notice required for appointment cancellations
  • Cancellation fees may apply for same-day cancellations
  • Deposits may be retained to cover costs incurred
8.3 Cancellation by AKSI LIT LTD
  • We reserve the right to cancel contracts in cases of non-payment or breach of terms
  • Full refund provided if we cancel due to our inability to perform services
  • Reasonable notice will be given except in emergency situations

9. Liability and Insurance

9.1 Our Liability
  • We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Liability for property damage is limited to our insurance coverage (£2 million)
  • We are not liable for consequential losses or loss of earnings
  • Total liability is limited to the value of the contract
9.2 Insurance Coverage
  • Public liability insurance: £2 million minimum
  • Employers' liability insurance: £10 million
  • Professional indemnity insurance: £1 million
  • All insurance certificates available upon request

10. Data Protection and Privacy

  • We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  • Customer information is used solely for service delivery and communication
  • Data is not shared with third parties without consent (except as required by law)

  • You have rights to access, rectify, and erase your personal data

11. Complaints Procedure

11.1 Internal Complaints
  • Complaints should be submitted in writing to [email protected]
  • We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days
  • Full investigation and response within 28 days
  • Escalation to senior management if not resolved
11.2 External Resolution
  • Unresolved complaints may be referred to relevant trade bodies
  • Alternative dispute resolution services available
  • Legal action through UK courts as final resort

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions
  • Government actions, legislation changes, or regulatory requirements
  • Industrial disputes, strikes, or labor shortages
  • Supply chain disruptions or material shortages
  • Pandemic or public health emergencies

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
  • For customers in Scotland, Scottish law may apply where relevant
  • Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of UK courts
  • Consumer rights under UK law are not affected by these terms

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

15. Amendments

AKSI LIT LTD reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the revision date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
